Help Required

Due to a change in my working arrangements I have recently been finding the role of Club Captain much more difficult as I have less free time and I no longer pass the club every day.

In order to make the job as easy as possible, and a lot easier than it has been in the last few weeks I would like to ask for your co-operation in the following ways:-

1. If you put your name down for a match, please check the team sheet either at the club or on the website (www.chathambowlingclub.co.uk) at least two or three days before the match to see if you have been selected. We aim to pick teams a week in advance and the sheets should normally be up at least four or five days before the match.

2. If you see that you are selected to play, please tick your name or send me an e-mail (can be done via the website) to confirm that you are still available to play. This saves me having to spend time phoning people to check if they know they are playing.

3. If you are a reserve, please ensure that you remain available to play. You may be called upon at any time up to the start of the match if someone drops out at the last minute

4. If you need a lift to a match, please try to organise this yourself wherever possible. However, if you are really stuck please do contact me for help rather than pulling out of the match

5. If you don’t know how to find a club, please check the website for details in the first instance. We will be posting postcodes and links to location maps for all away matches

This should hopefully make things run much smoother than they have over the last few weeks, and should enable me to continue as Club Captain.
