Chatham Bowling Club Joins the Snowy Underhill League
For the first time Chatham Bowling Club will be participating this year in the Snowy Underhill League. This league, which has been running for many years in memory of Snowy Underhill, will involve the Club playing Home and Away fixtures against 7 other clubs in our area.
Each fixture will involve 4 men’s triples. A total of 12 points can be won in each match. Scoring for each fixture will be as follows:
2 points for each winning triple (1 point for a draw)+2 extra points to the Club gaining the most points above (ie for 2 wins and a draw or better) or 1 point each for a draw
+2 points to the Club with highest total of shots (1 point each for a draw)
At the conclusion of all the matches in our area the Club with the highest points total will go to play the finals in East Kent.
I look forward to these games being an exciting addition to our fixture list for 2008. They present an opportunity for players at many levels to gain further experience of competitive bowling, and I hope that if you are at all interested in playing competitive bowls you will make yourself available for team selection. Good luck to all who take part.
The dates of these games do not appear on our fixture card for 2008, so please consult the web-site and the sheets on the club notice board for information.
