Ladies Open Invitation Triple - Sponsored by Winch and Winch, Solicitors

Bowling Clubs are invited to send a Ladies Triple to participate in our Ladies Invitation Triples Competition on Saturday 21st June 2008 starting at 9.30 a.m. The winners will hold the Walter & Randall Cup for the year and the runners up will hold the Peter Hook Plate for the year. The competition will be run by Chatham Ladies Committee under E.W.B.A. Rules. No running will be permitted on the green.

There will be three games each, consisting of 1 hour 15 minutes or 11 ends, whichever is the less. NO trial ends with 1 wood counting on 1st two ends of first games played only. Jacks to be set before the start of play. A bell will be rung to commence play and five minutes before end of game - no jacks put up after bell.

2 points will be appointed for a win and 1 point for a draw. Total points will determine the winning rink but if points should be level on completion of the competition, highest shot difference and then highest number of ends won will be taken into account. If this still proves equal, skips bowl one wood to full length jack and the winner will be the wood nearest to the jack.

Winning triple holds the Walter & Randall Cup for the year and £120. Runner-up triple holds the Peter Hook Plate for the year and £75. There will also be a third prize.

Coffee or tea will be served on arrival, followed by a spider. There will then be two games in the morning followed by lunch, glass of wine (or non-alcoholic drink) and dessert. After the third game in the afternoon, tea will be served followed by the presentation.

Entrance fee: £27 per triple to include green fee, spider, coffee/tea on arrival, lunch and tea.

For an application form email the Competition Secretary:- Mrs. Sylvia Pidduck
