Match v Prince Arthur on Saturday March 8th is now a Meal Match

The above match is shown on the fixture card as a non-meal match starting at 5pm. There have, however, been some changes made as an experiment for this year as the team which normally plays the meal match against Prince Arthur on this date has pulled out. Our match has now been changed to a meal match starting at 2pm. The cost for this will be £7.50 per person, and this includes tea or coffee half way through and a two course meal (main meal and dessert) after the match.

We need to find out in plenty of time whether or not we can field a full team of players on this basis, as if we can't we need to give Prince Arthur plenty of notice that we want to either play this on a non-meal match basis (as originally arranged) or reduce the number of rinks.

We currently only have 24 names on the sheet, and this therefore leaves us 8 players short (more if anyone pulls out). If you would like to play in this game, can you please let me know ASAP (preferably in the next week or so) and this will then enable us to gauge whether or not we are likely to get a full team on this basis. I would rather have a few names over at this stage, as this will give me a few reserves if anyone has to pull out.

We are trying this out as an experiment this year. If we can't get enough people to play we will change it back to a non-meal match, but the time will possibly remain as 2pm.

In addition to this, if you want to play in any of the other matches for the remainder of the indoor season there are plenty of spaces still available - just let me know and I will put your name down.
