What a fine day, whites, green, food - magic - and a great match that ended unfortunately by M.B.A. losing by one shot.  A fitting climax to one of the friendliest games so far in my year as President of the M.B.A.

The game started at 2.30 promptly with seven rinks of players drawn from around the Medway Towns and Sheppy to play Chatham Bowling Club. I must say being a Chatham player made it all the better for me.  The banter flowed on every rink.

Then came the meal and of course the speeches, once again the Chatham President Graham Lock's address was fantastic and received a rapturous applause from all present.  Mine followed, not quite so good but well received from all.

So the day ended and we all went our different ways, once again thank you Chatham for a well organised event, it will remain in my memory for a long time (I hope).

Eddy Negus, President M.B.A.
