The club had the honour of staging a ladies intercounty friendly match with Middlesex on Friday July 10th. The day was very successful although at the end of the day it resulted in defeat for the Kent team. Perhaps they should have included the Sheila Pamplin the latest holder of a County badge who instead did sterling work in the kitchen

The match gets under way

To all those who helped in any way for the hosting of Kent v Middlesex ladies match a very big thank you.

Yesterday was a day that Chatham Bowls Club could be very proud. Nothing but compliments came from the executives of Kent. They were extremely proud of, and grateful to, Chatham Bowls Club for hosting the match so successfully. All the work that our members put in was very much appreciated by them.

I too, know all the hard work that goes in on making such a day so successful and I really appreciated all that was done, and so willingly too. Thank you everyone for making it so easy for me to sit down to dine with them and not feel guilty!

Everything from the superb green to the clearing up afterwards was excellent.

Thank you!

Sylvia Pidduck
