Dave Chapman (Sturdee), Ron Hedgecock (Civil Service) and Graham Lock (skip) played in the Charing Men's Open Triples competition last Sunday, May 24th.
The weather was on its best behaviour and the sun shone throughout and the team was one of only two teams to win all four of its matches. Unfortunately the other team won one more end and so Graham, Ron and David had to settle for the £75 Second Prize.
Asked for a comment on the day Graham agreed that it was a glorious day for bowling and that "they had thoroughly enjoyed themselves and they came home richer than when they went, which can’t be bad". He also mentioned the possibility of using his new found wealth to treat members to a drink the next time he visited the club!!!!!
