Chatham bowlers are also represented in the mixed pairs, They play in Area 24. In the Preliminary Round Michael Day and Sylvia Leigh of Maidstone play a team from Sheerness and Trevor Skinner and partner play a team from Tunbridge Wells. If they are successful they will play each other in Round 1.
Michael Day and Stan Panton also led teams in the mixed fours. They play in Area 9. Roger Howell, Pat Carr and Sylvia Leigh are in the team with Michael and they won their Preliminary Round match against a team from Culverden and now play a team from Tunbridge Wells in the 1st Round. Stan's team unfortunately lost their Preliminary Round match to a team from Sheerness.
Michael Day has entered the National "Over 55 Singles" and there are two pairs in the "Over 55's Pairs", Graham Lock with Keith Hysted and Michael Day with Roger Howell. Geoff Gough is in the "Champion of Champions".
Phyllis Panton entered the Ladies over 55's pairs but was defeated in the Preliminary Round by a lady from Milton Regis
The Chatham ladies have also entered a team in the Top Club competition. They play in Area 18 and they had a bye in the Preliminary Round and are due to play Ditton in the 1st Round.
