Chatham Bowling Club have won the Gower Cup for the first time since 1996, beating Sheerness St Georges on both rinks in the Medway Bowling Association finals held today at Civil Service. The two winning rinks were Paul Simmons, Reg Bunn, Trevor Skinner and Roger Howell (skip) and David Turner, Paul Mannering, Keith Hysted and Geoff Gough (skip).

Chatham was also represented in the men's pairs final. Unfortunately after a close game Geoff Gough and Keith Hysted lost to Milton Regis.
